Request Approval of the Contract for Administration and Bid Pool with the Gainesville Sports Commission - 23-00613

Fiscal Note:
The County agrees to reimburse the GSC for allowable and allocable expenses, up to the amount of $470,000 for Administration funding for each County fiscal year. Starting October 1, 2024, and every October 1 thereafter during the term of this Agreement, the Parties agree that the Administration Funding amount will be adjusted upward by 3% of the then existing Administration funding amount. Additionally, the County agrees to reimburse the GSC for allowable and allocable expenses, up to the agreed amount of $210,000 for Bid Pool Funding, according to approved upon and agreed uses for each County fiscal year. Unspent funds will remain with the County. Carryforward of any unspent funding must be approved by the Board on a case-by-case basis upon written request from the GSC prior to August 1 of each fiscal year.

Total Tourist Development fiscal impact over the three-year term is approximately $2,082,723.

Tourist Development - Sports Com Fund: 004.45.4510.552.82.xx

Funding provided to GSC under this Agreement shall only be used for purposes and expenses authorized under Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes, as may be amended.
