This was included in the FY25 budget in Account: 008.79.7940.544.34.00 in the MSTU Fund, account description – other contractual services.

Fiscal Note:
The Senior Staff Assistant is reclassification of existing Senior Staff Assistant position. This is filled position which will result in an hourly rate increase from $25.3704 to $27.9074. Grade change (increase by one grade) for Accreditation & Grants Manager, Employee & Labor Relations Manager and SR HR Analyst due to assuming permanent supervisory responsibilities. This will be a 5% increase to the base hourly rate for employee. The increases for the Human Resources positions have been budgeted in FY25.

Fiscal Note:
The total cost to replace the Fire Rescue Self Contained Breathing Apparatus system is $2,088,123.92. The Department received an Assistance to Firefighters grant of $661,704.54 (081.54.5480.522.52.00 Operating Supplies) toward this purchase. The remaining $1,426,419.38, which includes the 10% grant match, is funded through the MSBU-Fire fund ($66,170.46 081.54.5480.522.52.00 Operating Supplies and $1,360,248.92 011.54.5480.522.52.00 Operating Supplies).

Facilities Management has $3,833,266 budgeted in account 324.19.1912.712.62.00 (Buildings) under the new Civil Court Complex project 9201902 which includes the $1,206,324 for the Courthouse Complex Accessory Energy Facility.

Approve resolution and budget amendment for unanticipated revenues to increase revenues and expenditures for the FDOT Grant Fund (329) by $2,250,000 each. Expenditure account is 329.79.7910.541.63.99 with description of other infrastructure.

    Adopt Resolution approving the State-Funded Grant Agreement for State Road 24 (Archer Road) 4 Lane Widening from Tower Road west of Gainesville to SW 122nd Street which includes recognizing unanticipated revenue, approving budget amendment, authorizing the Chair to execute the State-Funded Grant Agreement, and authorizing the County Manager, Public Works Director, or County Engineer to execute subsequent amendments related to the project.

Fiscal Note:
With approval of unanticipated revenues for Hurricane Helene which is item #24-933 on the October 8, 2024 agenda, there will be funds available for this contract in the FEMA Disaster Relief Fund in 164.00.0055.525.34.00 with the description of other contractual services.

    Approve and authorize the Chair to execute Agreement 14348 with Tetra Tech Inc. for Monitoring of Disaster Debris and Recovery Activities, in the amount not to exceed $4,000,000.00 annually.  Also, authorize the County Manager to sign an Agreement for Monitoring of Disaster Debris and Recovery Activities with Goodwyn Mills Cawood FL, LLC, once received signed by such company and approved by the County Attorney’s Office as to form. 

Fiscal Note:
Total of $1,005,500 approved for marketing and promotional activities in FY25. This is funding managed by Tourism and does not represent the total marketing and promotional funds expended by Alachua County for the promotion of tourism.
