Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:00PM.

Review of the Agenda

Yvette Carter motioned to approve the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Gerie Crawford with unanimous approval; motion carried.

Approval of Minutes

Gerie Crawford motioned to adopt the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Yvette Carter with unanimous approval; motion carried.  

4.

Departmental Orientation 

Deputy Manager Carl Smart provided an orientation to Alachua County Government and the Department of Community and Strategic Initiatives.

5.

Equity Audit Tool Discussion

Diedre Houchen led the EAB through a review of the equity audit tool. Several members added questions to the tool. Feedback was also sent by email. 

6.

Workplan Discussion

The Equity Advisory Board will be presenting its workplan to the Board of County Commissioners on May 14, 2024. This year’s workplan will consist of the departmental orientation process and the equity audit of the comprehensive plan.
