Chair John Murdoch called the meeting to order.

All in attendance did the Pledge of Allegiance and had a moment of Silence.

Initially, there was not a quorum but when Nick McMillen arrived, there was a quorum.

Minutes could not be approved due to only 4 board members in attendance.

Board Member Nick McMillen arrived, and Minutes review and approval resumed.

James Schindler moved to approve the minutes, James Cooper seconded the motion, and all approved the minutes as written.

VSAB reviewed Resolution and discussed multiple Vacancies. Chair of VSAB suggested that the Chair of VSAB and Liaison should reach out to the DAV, American Legions and VA Hospital and encourage them to again send representation to the VSAB. This was agreed upon.

Responsibilities of the Board was reviewed and discussed, and communication was elaborated upon that the VSAB will be the communication hub of information to and from the Veteran Community.

The Department of Veteran Affairs had the VSAB also titled the Community Veteran Engagement Board but the VA has not had a representative on the VSAB for a while. Nick McMillen asked about this as he indicated that he had items he wanted to go back to the VA hospital to be addressed.  Kim Davis advised that she can assist with any problems with VA hospital by going through Patient Advocate but as soon as the VA had the seat on the VSAB again filled, there would be a formal portal for this.
