This final version of the FY 26/28 UPWP reflects comments received from FDOT, FHWA, and FTA.

The Florida Department of Transportation Central Office has requested an Amendment to the TPO’s FY26/30 TIP to add a resurfacing project, consisting of approximately 2.13 miles, on State Road 20 in the City of Hawthorne. The Project Number is 443258-2 - Resurfacing of SR 20.

This is item is for the creation of a new TIP Plan Cycle for fiscal years 2026/27 to 2030/31. The development of a new Plan cycle creates a new fifth year in the 5-Year Plan. Years 1 through 4 in this plan cycle contain projects that were in years 2 through 5 in the FY 26/30 plan cycle.

The City of Gainesville dba Gainesville Regional Transit System (RTS) has received notice that it has been awarded $10,263,750 of Section 5339B Bus and Bus Facilities Competitive Grant funds by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Therefore, we are requesting the support of the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization for the Gainesville Urbanized Area to add this project to the Florida Department of Transportation Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).
