Motion was made by Jason Teisinger to approve the agenda. BJ Bukata seconded the motion.
Action: Agenda for the December 7th, 2023 meeting of the LCB was approved by a vote of 7-0.

Motion was made by Amy Schwarzer to approve the minutes from the September 28th, 2023 LCB meeting. BJ Bukata seconded the motion.
Action: Agenda for the December 7th, 2023 meeting of the LCB was approved by a vote of 7-0.

Lake Forest Creek – Olster presented by Andy Natwick

Public comment: a retired engineer from the FL Dept. of Environmental Protection and current member of the FL Trails Association spoke in support of acquisition of the nominated parcel and others within the Eastside Activity Center wildlife corridor.

Motion was made by Amy Schwarzer to place the Lake Forest Creek – Olster property in the eligibility pool. Bruce Blackwell seconded the motion.

Action: The Lake Forest Creek – Olster property was placed in the eligibility pool by a vote of 7-0. Motion was made by BJ Bukata to place the Lake Forest Creek – Olster property in the priority pool. Bruce Blackwell seconded the motion.

Motion was made by Amy Schwarzer to place Lake Forest Creek - Friedman parcel in the priority pool. Kate Lee seconded the motion.

Action: The Lake Forest Creek – Friedman property was placed in the priority pool by a vote of 7-0.Action: The Lake Forest Creek – Olster property was placed in the priority pool by a vote of 7-0.

FY 2023 LCB Accomplishment Report
Motion was made by Kristen Young to approve the FY 2023 LCB Accomplishment Report. Amy Schwarzer seconded the motion.

Action: The FY 2023 LCB Accomplishment Report was approved with a vote of 7-0.

Election of new Vice Chair: Kristen Young nominated Amy Schwarzer as vice-chair of the LCB. BJ Bukata seconded the motion. Action: Amy Schwarzer was confirmed as vice-president of the LCB with a vote of 7-0.

Watermelon Pond - Sheffield: conducting due diligence

Lochloosa Creek Flatwoods - Sherouse & Flowers: in inspection period, working through due diligence

Lochloosa Forest - Rimes: owner- signed contract going to BOCC

Lochloosa Slough Flatwoods - Jackson Heirs: owner- signed contract going to BOCC

Watermelon Pond - Elliot: Letter of intent was signed by the owner, CE contract being written

Lake Santa Fe - Winchester: appraisals received, negotiations starting

Santa Fe River - Block: appraisals received, negotiations starting

Paynes Prairie Additions- Koppaka: appraisals received, negotiations starting

Staff Updates: Four seats on the LCB will be appointed by the BOCC in December
