The meeting was called to order at 5:34 p.m.

Members Present:  Chelsea Carnes (Chair), Lucia Curta, Christine Johnson, Queenchiku Ngozi, David Ruiz, Stephanie Silberman, Carol Velasques Richardson (Vice Chair) and Amy Koester

Members Absent:  N/A

David Ruiz made a motion to approve the agenda as presented; Stephanie Silberman second; unanimous approval; motion carried.

Christine Johnson made a motion to approve the Feb. 5, 2024 minutes as presented; Lucia Curta second; unanimous approval; motion carried.

The Artists Conference Schedule was reviewed and the consensus was to shorten lunch (12:15 - 12:45) to give Mr. McThenia 15 more minutes for his presentation.  Three sponsorship opportunities are still available so staff will re-advertise them and begin accepting registrations.  

The Fire Station 80 sculpture is expected to be delivered anytime.  The Fire Station was ribbon cut last week.  The Fire Station 21 sculpture is expected at the end of the calendar year.  Once both are installed, staff will ask our Communications team to develop a brief video of both pieces. 

A discussion on the National Endowment for the Arts grant will be added to our April meeting agenda. 

The consensus was to cancel our May meeting due to the Artists Conference. 

Carol Velasques Richardson reported an Art Show was held in both Thornebrook and High Springs this week. 

The DRAFT WUFT arts video will be shared with the Council upon receipt.

"Step Africa" is being held tomorrow at the Phillips Center.
