• Discussion on the proposed meeting schedule for the new fiscal year (FY26): every other month, on the second Thursday at 2:30 PM (October, December, February, April, June, August).

• Preview of the October meeting agenda, including:
           
  • Final review and approval of the 2025 Accomplishments Report and 2026 Workplan.
             
  • Presentation from Dr. Matthew Traum, UF Mechanical Engineering, on K-12 aerospace and aviation education opportunities.

• Review of Draft 2025 Accomplishments Report and 2026 Workplan
  • Staff will present the first draft of both documents for committee review and feedback.
  • The committee will review and discuss the strategic priorities outlined in the 2026 Workplan.

Discussion on Committee Structure and Enabling Resolution

• Discussion on Committee Structure and Enabling Resolution
  • Staff will seek input from the committee on updating the language of the enabling resolution to align with Board guidelines.
  • Discussion will focus on introducing new roles for institutional and organizational partners to formalize the County's new role as the Economic Development Organization (EDO).
  • The committee will discuss how to encourage greater participation from partner organizations, including CareerSource North Central Florida, GACAR, various Chambers of Commerce, Builders Association, and UF Health.
  • Draft resolution language will be presented at the October meeting for review.
