In-person Public Comment is taken after each non-ministerial motion. At the conclusion of the meeting, individuals can also speak for up to 3 minutes about any matter during the General Comment period.

Citizens attending Alachua County public meetings downtown can enjoy free parking in the S.W. Parking Garage (105 SW 3rd St, Gainesville) starting on the 2nd floor in zones marked 35200. To obtain parking validation, download the “Passport” app on your smartphone and pay for your session. Then visit the Alachua County Manager's Office, located on the 2nd floor of the County Administration Building, on noticed public meeting days to receive a validation code.

FY26 Budget Development Department Review 1 - 25-00613

Fiscal Note:
The proposed millage adopted by the Board are 7.6000 – General Fund and 3.5678 – MSTU Law.

The County Manager proposed total budget of $944,325,780 which includes a General Fund budget of $319,481,440 and MSTU-Law Enforcement of $43,246,162.

• Recommended Action:

  Provide direction to staff for any adjustment to the County Manager’s budget or proposed millage rates.

Contract Change Orders – Alachua County Apartments 1 & 2 (Former Budget Inn and Former Scottish Inn)- 25-00614

Fiscal Note:
Ulloa contract for Scottish Inn was for $4,079,409.00 The requested increase is $73,532.00 for a new total of $4,152,941.00 -There is sufficient budget in 198.29.2964.554.62.00 Buildings - $73,532.00

Gray Construction contract for Budget Inn was for $4,089,435.00. The requested increase is $615,457.00 for a new total of $4,704,892.00. Budget will utilize Housing Trust Fund. - 206.29.2975.554.62.00 Buildings in the amount of $615,457.00 to be charged directly. Budget Amendment Attached

  Approve the change orders to allow the necessary additional work to proceed at both locations. Approve the budget amendment and approval for the County Manager or her designee to sign all related documents.
